The New Zealand Chiropractic Students' Association works closely with the College and its students to organize events, resolve issues and facilitate improvements to the learning environment. The Association operates under a set of rules (Constitution) and is run by an Executive Committee which consists of elected executive officers and class representatives.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF NZCSA EXECUTIVE POSITIONS

The Secretary is responsible for
- Ensuring that the Rules are followed;
- Convening Meetings and establishing whether or not a quorum (half of the Council) is present;
- Chairing Meetings, deciding who may speak and when;
- Overseeing the operation of the Association;
- Providing a report on the operations of the Association at each Annual Meeting;
- Sit as the first student member of the NZCC Student Senate. Should the President be unable to attend, any other Executive Council member may attend in their place.
The Treasurer is responsible for:
- Keeping proper accounting records of the Association’s financial transactions to allow the Association’s financial position to be readily ascertained.
- Preparing annual financial statements for presentation at each Annual Meeting. These statements should be prepared in accordance with the Societies’ accounting policies.
- Providing a financial report at each Annual Meeting.
- Providing financial information to the Council as the Council determines.
- Ensure that all events are designed to generate a net profit or zero balance for the Association.
- All withdrawals, cheques, and other negotiable instruments drawn by the Association shall be signed or endorsed by either the Treasurer or President.
The Secretary is responsible for
- Recording the minutes of Meetings;
- Keeping the Register of Members;
- Holding the Association's records, documents, and books except those required for the Treasurer’s function;
- Receiving and replying to correspondence as required by the Council;
- Forwarding the annual financial statements for the Association to the Registrar of Incorporated Societies upon their approval by the Members at an Annual Meeting.
